Changing Field Device

In this set-up, the top magnet is attacted to the bottom magnet, the middle magnet has a minor effect on the top or bottom magnet. In this set-up the middle magnet has moved past the half way point between the top and bottom magnet. Now the middle magnet has a repelling effect to both the top and bottom magnet.
In this set-up, the bar magnet is the rotor. The way it is placed will not let the bar magnet move because the bar magnet is attracted to the bottom magnets.
When the middle magnets are pushed into the center, the bar magnet will spin to aline it's poles to the middle magnets. Once alined, you can move the middle magnets out and the bar magnet will spin again to align with the bottom magnets.
In this set-up the top magnet is attracted to the iron bar. The thin steel and the ait stops the magnets from repelling each other. Here the magnets start to repell each other. This set-up compared with the set-up on top of this page, needs less force to change the magnets from attracting to repelling
Here the repelling is only happening when the top magnet past the iron. When the top magnet is moving, there is almost no sticky spot and any sticky spot is easely to over come with gravity.
